China sent help to people affected by floods in Pakistan

Chinese President Xi Jinping sent aid to Pakistan in a plane carrying more than 60 tonnes of cargo to people affected by the floods. The cargo-capable aircraft took off from an airport in southwest China's Sichuan.

Homes have come under the grip of flood waters in Sohbat city, a district in Pakistan's southwestern state of Balochistan, and China has sent essential items including food to help them all. China on Tuesday sent two of its largest military cargo aircraft Y-20 to Pakistan to deliver humanitarian aid. The entire luggage has been sent by two planes which are for the people who have been hit by the floods.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said the plane would provide 3,000 tents and other aid for those affected by the floods, to bring relief to those affected.

China has announced that two planes will be sent to Pakistan on Wednesday for humanitarian aid. More than 33 million people and 72 districts have been affected so far by the ongoing floods in Pakistan. The President of China has said that we will give full help to the Pakistani people, they should not worry.

Earlier in July, China sent six Y-20 planes to Afghanistan, where an earthquake killed at least hundreds and left nearly 10,000 homeless.
