Nashik Godman Exploitation Case: SIT Says Over 150 Women Allegedly Targeted

In a major development, law enforcement agencies in Nashik have stated that self-styled godman Ashok Kharat is accused of exploiting more than 150 women over time. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case has collected digital evidence from devices seized at his office, revealing alleged patterns of abuse under the pretext of spiritual help and guidance.

Kharat is reported to have approached women seeking solutions to their personal and professional challenges, gaining their trust before subjecting them to exploitation. The investigation has also uncovered allegations of manipulation through intoxicants and psychological tactics in some instances.

Authorities have taken steps including sealing Kharat’s office and freezing his assets while expanding the inquiry. Police custody has been extended to ensure that investigators can comprehensively examine all aspects of the case.

This revelation has sparked public outrage and renewed calls for a transparent and swift legal process to address the serious charges and support the victims impacted by the alleged misconduct.
