With more than 84,000 seats available for the 2026-27 session, the state is bracing for a high volume of applications from parents seeking to enroll their wards in Class 1 in private schools. The RTE Act, which mandates a 25% reservation for underprivileged children, continues to be the primary vehicle for educational equity in the region.
The registration window is now live, and the state's education department has emphasized the importance of accurate data entry.
